Rules and regulations for being a part of this show are very simple. One needs to clear the audition, which is free of cost i.e. there is no charge for participation. The entry to the audition is on a ‘first come first serve’ basis. The participants need to fill up an application form if they want to give their audition.

Another criterion kept for the audition is that the candidate must be of 16 to 30 year of age on 1st September. All the candidates who are below 18 years of age should be accompanied by their legal guardians.

Few more rules and regulations for participating in DPL are:

- Candidates should not have a criminal record.

- A bit of dancing skill is required in order to participate in this show.

- Participants should carry their correct proof of identity.
